    Mandarin Chinese Teacher/Materials

    I know this sounds silly since there are tons of materials out there on learning Chinese however, here is my dilemma:

    My mother speaks Taiwanese and Chinese but does not leave near me so there is not much she can help me with. I would like my daughter to learn Chinese (as I have found it extremely hard to find any materials on Taiwanese) however, I am concerned that if I do not learn it with her I will not know what she says.

    Does anyone know of any materials and/or a teacher for a person who doesn't know any Chinese who would like to teach her baby (11 months old). It would probably be easier to learn it first then teach her, however, I thought it would be quicker if we just learned together or as close as possible.

    I live in Westmoreland County - North Huntingdon (15642). I would prefer to try and have classes on the weekend and somewhere close to my home (if not in my home) since it will hopefully be for me and my daughter at the same time.

    I would like to learn how to speak, read, and write Mandarin too, I'm a student at Pitt and I just can't fit the class into my schedule with all of the required classes I have to take.
