Patellofemoral Pain Syndrome & Hip Muscle Function

Exercising is a great form of natural pain relief as long as it is low-impact or recommended by your doctor or trainer. Taking part in strenuous activities such as running or lifting heavy weights may lessen your chance of managing chronic pain if you have not been properly trained. Rather, activities such as aerobics, water aerobics, swimming, badminton, walking and light weight lifting are encouraged.

Let me just say that you are already one up on most people, because most people don't believe fibromyalgia can be cured, and therefore they never will. You want to know how long it will take, and I have to say that no one can tell you that. When I reversed fibromyalgia it took me almost 6 years for me to really feel like "yeah, I 100% beat this and can truly say that I am well!" However, I did get incrementally better over those 6 years.

In year 1 I was still sore all the time, but I was starting to see how certain actions could make me feel a bit better. In year two I was starting to have some OK moments and some OK muscles. In year 3 I started to actually believe that maybe fibromyalgia could be cured, because I was feeling so much better. In year 4 I started to refine my efforts and realized how much my emotions played a part in how bad I felt. In year 5, I really figured out the finer details of which stretches helped most, which muscles were the worst to be full of trigger points (neck, hips, and abdomen), and how to feel good more often emotionally.
